Chillisoft Sky Tower jump
Chillisoft proudly took part in the Drop the Boss – Sky Tower jump, a national fundraising event by the Graeme Dingle Foundation. In 2020, Pat Cooper, General Manager of Chillisoft Australia, stepped up to the challenge. He jumped 192 meters from Auckland’s Sky Tower to raise money for youth development programs.
Following Pat’s lead, Chillisoft CEO Alex Teh was also nominated. Known for his fear of heights, Alex faced the challenge head-on. COVID-19 delays meant he waited until 2022 to complete his jump, but he followed through.
The Drop the Boss – Sky Tower jump asks business leaders to step outside their comfort zones. It’s a symbol of what many Kiwi children face daily – struggles, fear, and the unknown. The Graeme Dingle Foundation helps these young people by delivering programs that build confidence, resilience, and life skills.
Chillisoft matched all donations made in support of Pat and Alex. Every dollar raised went directly to the Graeme Dingle Foundation. These funds support life-changing initiatives that guide youth through critical stages of growth.
This event was more than a stunt. It was a powerful way to raise awareness and give back to the community. It showed how business leaders can use their platforms to make a real difference.
Chillisoft remains a proud supporter of the foundation’s work. We continue to look for ways to contribute to causes that uplift the next generation. While we may prefer future efforts to stay closer to the ground, the impact of this jump will be felt where it matters most.
