As organisations accelerate AI adoption, a new category of digital identity is emerging — autonomous AI agents, service accounts, integrations, and APIs operating quietly behind the scenes. In many environments, these non-human identities are already among the most active “employees” in the business, yet few organisations truly understand who owns them, what access they have, or how they are governed.
