    IMPORTANT DATES | FEATURE CHANGES

    • OCT 2025 – ESET VPN added to ESET Home Security Premium

    Home Security Premium users can now enjoy the added security benefit of a VPN! Any seat count of this tier receives 3 VPNs they can install on their devices, supported OS includes: Windows, MacOS, iOS, Android and ChromeOS. 

    • OCT 2025 – Ransomware Remediation added to ESET Home Security Ultimate

    Ransomware Remediation offers next-level protection against Ransomware threats by securing your files through backups and quick file recovery in the event of an attack. Only available for ESET Home Security Ultimate users.

    • OCT 2025 – Https scanning added for MacOS ESET Home Security Essential and above

    MacOS subscribers of the ESET Home security Essential tier or higher can now enjoy safer browsing with ESET’s Https scanning. Monitoring websites and assessing reputations to protect users from potential threats or malicious scripts.

    • NOV 18th 2025 – ESET Cybersecurity Pro End of Life

    Mac users now only install ESET Cybersecurity and it can be activated with any ESET subscription tier. Features are added to the product with their corresponding subscription tier. Https scanning has also been added to Mac for Home Security Essential subscribers and above.

    • JUN 30th 2026 – ESET Parental Control End of Life

    Parental control will no longer be available, this affects both ESET Mobile Security users and any user with a Home Security Essentials subscription and above.

    • OCT 18th 2027  – ESET Password Manager End of Life

    As most users prefer using the built-in-browser password manager, ESET Password Manager is reaching end of life and service in 2027 in favour of adding more demanded protection features.  End of sale for ESET Password Manager has already commenced in October of 2025. This affects all users with a Home Security Premium Subscription and above.

    PRICING CHANGES

    Every end-user now requires an ESET Home account to activate and manage their ESET Subscription. 

    ESET HOME is a user-friendly platform that allows you to activate and manage your subscriptions, add and protect new devices, and download or upgrade your security solution. Share your subscription with friends and family or monitor your security status. Enable powerful functionalities like ESET VPN, Identity Protection and more. ESET HOME is available via web portal or mobile application.

    NOTE: Customers who purchase ESET through a reseller are NOT able to renew via the ESET Home portal and will be provided their reseller details to contact for renewals.

    ESET HOME | Improvements & Changes

    At the heart of this evolution is ESET HOME, a unified security management portal that provides users with complete visibility and control across all their ESET-protected devices. Through ESET HOME, customers can manage subscriptions, activate new products, monitor security status, and stay connected to the broader ESET ecosystem with ease.

    ESET Home now offers the ability to assign “users” to devices so you can better manage and identify the devices using your subscription. Activating ESET VPN through ESET Home also now displays the activation code on the main website instead of sending an email to the specified user; this way you can easily deactivate and reactivate features as needed all in one place.

    Redesigned User Interface

    The user interface in this version has been significantly redesigned and simplified based on the results of usability testing. All GUI wording and notifications have been carefully reviewed, and the interface now provides support for right-to-left languages such as Hebrew and Arabic. Online Help is now integrated into ESET Smart Security Premium and offers dynamically updated support content.

    Dark Mode

    An extension that helps you quickly switch the screen to a dark color scheme. You can choose your preferred color scheme in User Interface elements.

    Antivirus and Antispyware

    Proactively detects and cleans more known and unknown viruses, worms, trojans, and rootkits. Advanced heuristics flags even never-before-seen malware, protecting you from unknown threats and neutralizing them before they can do any harm. Web access protection and Anti-Phishing protection monitor communication between web browsers and remote servers (including SSL). Email client protection provides control of email communication received through the POP3(S) and IMAP(S) protocols.
