21 October 2019, New Zealand – Chillisoft, cybersecurity specialist distributor, announces today a distribution partnership with Cofense (formerly PhishMe®), the global leader in intelligent phishing defense solutions.
The strategic partnership will combine Chillisoft’s expertise and in-depth knowledge across a wide range of cybersecurity technology solutions, with Cofense’s market-leading platform, to help protect organisations from advanced security threats.
Cofense’s incident response and phishing threat intelligence solutions enable security operations and incident response teams to respond quickly to threats in real-time, thereby helping to reduce the risk of security breaches. Cofense’s intelligence-driven solutions engage the employee to be an active line of defense and a human threat detector by enabling them to recognise and report phishing attacks, and other malicious threats.
Chillisoft CEO Alex Teh says, “We are excited to announce the new partnership with Cofense after an extensive search for a Gartner Magic Quadrant Leader in Security Awareness Computer-Based Training. Cofense was the first company that came to market with its flagship product Cofense PhishMeÔ. They have shown their pedigree by continuing to be innovative whilst maintaining their leadership position with Gartner for many years.”
“We were looking for a vendor that was not only channel-friendly, but has a history of servicing partners in the managed security services market. They also have cutting edge technology that strengthens an organisation’s resiliency to cyber threats,” he adds.
According to Teh, “We liked the fact that they have deep integration with market-leading email security vendors and SIEMs like LogRhythm. Cofense TriageÔ is also a great solution for what is a growing problem of highly sophisticated, targeted phishing attacks in New Zealand. Cofense Triage provides the answer to this ever-growing problem given its ability to integrate with market-leading NGFW vendors like Palo Alto Mindmeld to remediate known bad IP addresses, URLs and domain names.
“On top of all this, Cofense offers great support from their ANZ team and provides excellent online product training programmes for partners and customers at no additional cost. Their free security awareness training modules will ensure that our customers are not only protecting their users, but educating them at the same time.”
Robert Iannicello, vice president of Global Channel Sales at Cofense states, “Collaboration with industry-leading IT and security companies such as Chillisoft extends our reach to a greater number of customers facing an unprecedented increase in frequency and damage caused by cyberattacks. Cofense is the only security company that provides a comprehensive and scalable human phishing defense solution. Through our partnership with Chillisoft, organisations across New Zealand can benefit from the security solutions and intelligence they need to proactively detect and quickly respond to cyber-attacks.”
Teh emphasises that, “According to CERT NZ, the rate of advance phishing attacks is increasing exponentially. The amount of commercial damage both in reputation and financial cost has been significant. Chillisoft is fully committed to extending our local pre- and post-sales expertise on Cofense solutions, and we will make sure that we are integrating these services with the rest of our portfolio. This will mean running Cofense in Chillisoft Labs to ensure we are testing and supporting the solutions properly.
“Cofense and Chillisoft will run a 100% channel model in New Zealand in the framework of our distribution partnership. As the single route to market, we intend to run a tight deal registration system that ensures double-digit margin retention for all partners working with us.”
